Plastic conveyors

Typical Industries: Food, or 'clean room' manufacturing assembly.

Description: High-density high-strength plastic-framed conveyors, typically with a plastic modular belt.

The idea of a plastic conveyor may seem a strange one, with images of Lego, or flimsyness, springing to mind. Nothing could be further from the truth. Made out of high-density polyethylene or polypropolyne, these are extremely sturdy machines with virtually zero maintenance requirement. They have a number of unique properties;
Lightweight
They can easily be moved by hand, typically to allow cleaning of the area, or access to associated equipment.
Hygiene
The entire unit can simply be jetwashed. The plastic surface offers no opportunity for food materials, or even bacteria, to "stick", and the unit can simply be left to 'drip dry'. In addition, for deep-cleaning, the side panels etc can be easily removed, along with the belt, with minimal mechanical knowledge or tools.
Resistant to corrosion
Well, obviously, plastic doesn't rust. However, these plastics are also resistant to corrosive materials such as acids or alkali's, and similarly resist staining.
Low maintenance
The modular-belt variety are almost maintenance free. There simply is very little that can go wrong. As mentioned above, access to the belt drive and motor is extrememly easy and requires minimal mechanical skills.
For operations in a Hygienic environment, the machines are fitted with stainless steel support legs, and a sealed motor drive unit.
