A wide range of industries require that products be moved from ‘a’ to ‘b’ within a building. Factories often have assembly lines where a product is gradually constructed; perhaps packaged, and then moved into a storage or dispatch area. Warehouses often have complex “pick-and-pack” lines. In some cases, bulk goods simply need to be stored, and then retrieved, en masse for forwarding.
Regardless of the business, no two sites will ever have the same requirements – or even the same shape. As a design and fabrication company, Central Conveyors are well placed to help you create the right conveyor solutions for your business needs.
We are not agents for a conveyor wholesaler, and are not tied down to a specific ‘range’ of off-the-shelf modules. Central Conveyors designs and manufactures all of our systems from scratch to your specification.
Whether you need a simple long belt conveyor to move packages into a dispatch area, or a complex linkage of units with bends, bridges , accumulation or sortation, we can create a solution that dovetails with your requirements.
In addition to standard operator and safety controls, we are able to produce complex logic-controlled systems, allowing accumulation – where products can be ‘held up’ at one part of the chain, without stopping the other sections – and splitting/merging, where products can be diverted onto different paths depending on barcodes etc, and/or merged back together onto a common conveyor line.
Of course, not all conveyors run along the floor ! Central Conveyors are happy to provide overhead conveyors, as well as inter-floor or “mezzanine” conveyors – either ‘free standing’, or utilizing existing staircases – a very popular solution when an operation is split between multiple floors of a building. .
